Enpee Masticating Juicer

I’m a juicing fan. The only drawback is the cost of juicers, this Enpee Masticating Juicer might be the answer… Sure you can get a cheap centrifugal juicer but I’d always recommend going the extra mile and investing in a slow juicer. I personally, have a vertical juicer. But you can read about the vertical vs horizontal debate in this post.

As I mention in the post, there’s a new kid on the block. The Enpee Masticating Juicer looks to be a solid performer, it’s vertical and under £200! The reviews are very good seven 5 star reviews! This looks like a good choice and has taken over from the Biochef as the best vertical bargain (relative bargain). It’s £189.99 on Amazon at the moment!

It’s all very well pointing these juicing bargains out but you never really know how good they are. So I’m delighted to have discovered a happy customer.  Lauren from Eating for the Weekend blog says that the Enpee Masticating Juicer is…

really great value for money, you can read some positive words about it here. I am so impressed with it so far and have been making delicious concoctions up none stop. I tend to do a few batches a week. I know the juice loses enzymes the longer you leave it but who has time to chop and juice every day with a big old commute and a full time job!?

She seems very pleased. In the same blog post Lauren provides us with a recipe which indicates that the Enpee handles the stringy celery stalks very well indeed!

Refreshing Green Juice:

Serves 2 generously or 3 moderately

  • 5 Organic apples
  • 4 Organic Kiwis
  • 6 Stalks Organic Celery
  • Half a large Organic Cucumber
  • Handful of Mint
  • 1 lime

(Note – I try to buy Organic where I can. I usually stick to the Dirty Dozen and Clean Fifteen rule, you can read more about this here. The way I see it now is that eating more conventional fruit and veg is better than eating none at all. So do your best)

  1. Wash all produce and then chop up into small pieces to fit in the juice chute. (Ignore if you have a centrifugal juicer)
  2. Juice all fruit and veg
  3. Add ½ to 1 teaspoon spirulina to your individual taste if you are feeling wild

If I feel in need of a nutrient boost I will add spirulina for sure. It doesn’t taste magical I am not going to lie. If I mix spirulina in just water I have to hold my nose like I am shotting a double flaming Sambuca. If I want the beautiful refreshing taste then I will leave it out and thoroughly enjoy every sip. This juice is very hydrating and is great after a big old yoga seshwan.

Happy Juicing!

One happy customer for sure. Lauren clearly gets a lot of use from her Enpee. So off to YouTube and see what there is. And, of course, there’s a video of the Enpee Masticating Slow Juicer in full flow – apple, kale, spinach and ginger, mmmmm

What do the Amazon reveiwers think of the Enpee Masticating Juicer?

Well, it always takes a little while for reviews to build up. Now there are 17 reviews with an average score of 4.8 out of 5. That’s pretty good going in anyone’s book. Sadly it’s out of stock at the moment. Shame.

These value masticating juicers seem to get snapped up! If you’re in the market for one of these, you will really need to keep ‘em peeled!

Got something to say? Go on, you know you want to!
